The owner, Lin Jin-Chang expanded his interest to become a woodcarving artist in carving Buddhist statues. He originally established a studio in Sangyi and has devoted himself in the business over ten years. In recent years, Mr. Lin started Zhamu Workshop. The name "Zhamu" in Chinese means to take root, which is to take root to popularize woodcarving art. The workshop is a retro architecture made up by red bricks, black tiles and wooden doors. At the entrance, there are many Mr. Lin's artworks to welcome the visitors. The workshop, which combines woodcarving, hostel and family woodcarving DIY, is the ideal leisure place to experience culture, art and nature. The craftsmen of the workshop have ingeniously turned tree branches and trunks into prototypes of forest elves, which have become the guardian spirit of Sangyi woodcarving art
