客家地區最著名的膨風茶,是北埔鄉近年主要文化產業,亦是地方重要的經濟來源,「北埔第一棧」是於北埔此一產茶勝地,所以發揮地方特長,除了大力推廣膨風茶,也開設膨風茶文物館,讓更多來店旅客透過茶香了解客家文化之美。膨風茶生產季,於每年端午節的前後,需要在無空氣污染及完全無農藥的環境下生長,而接受小率葉蟬〈浮塵子〉的浮著〈俗稱著園〉使葉片產生自然質變,才能孕育出這種茶中奇品的特殊風味,而產生膨風茶的奇特風味。客家膨風茶梅是以珍貴的膨風茶所釀製的梅子,味道極佳,深獲客人喜愛。

The most renowned “Bluffing Tea” (White Tip Oolong) in Hakka regions has been a major cultural industry in Beipu Township in recent years. Located in Beipu’s key Bluffing Tea plantation, “Beipu No. 1 Inn” takes advantage of its location, heavily promotes Bluffing Tea and opens up a Bluffing Tea museum further exposing visitors to the beauty of Hakka culture via the aroma of tea. Bluffing Tea is harvested around the annual Dragon Boat Festival (May 5th on the lunar calendar) and requires a pollution-free, pesticide-free environment, so that Jacobiasca formosana (leafhoppers) can attach themselves to the leaves (commonly known as ‘landing in the garden’) to induce natural leaf mutation in order to produce the special flavor unique to Bluffing Tea. The Hakka Bluffing-Tea Plums are flavored in the precious Bluffing Tea, with a much-coveted delicious taste.
