Shallots are made from lard of locally raised black lard and red onions from Yunlin, and the product passes all SGS tests without adding any chemicals. With the use of 100% local ingredients and authentic Hakka production methods, the product, unlike Minnan style shallots that use soybean sauce, has a mild flavor suitable for modern healthy trends. Shallots in the market use a great variety of geese, chicken, and soybean oil but only those inherited from our ancestor using lard can enhance the flavor. Over the past 30 years, we have insisted on using self-made lard from locally raised pigs. This has proved to be one of the factors that allowed us to avoid several food scandals and maintain continuous growth.
