杉林大愛的婦女們期能藉由在地植物染製及研習，喚起現代人對於客家先人智慧的傳承與追思，並涵養客家生活美學，進而將客家優美的文化透過藍染的技藝呈現來推廣，使客家文化在日常生活隨處可見，隨手可得。以代表客家精神的藍染布料，融入漸層染、縫染、絞染、夾染、蠟染等不同手法呈現出特色圖騰，精巧的縫紉技術研發製作外型亮麗且時尚包款，突顯客家文化的傳統與新意。

The women in the Shanlin Township's Da Ai Village hope to make people remind of the Hakka ancestors and inheritance of their wisdom by dyeing of local plants and their lectures. In this way， the public may know the Everyday Aesthetics of Hakka people. The indigo dyeing techniques are used to promote the beauty of the Hakka culture and make it accessible anywhere. Indigo dyed fabrics expressing the Hakka spirit are made using the techniques， such as Ombré， Seam Tie Dye， Shibori， Folder Stained， and Batik to create various totems. The crafty sewing techniques are used to create sleek and fashionable bags to highlight the traditions and new ideas of the Hakka culture.
