陽光、好山、純水，和清新的空氣是健康環境的指標，但隨著人類文明的進展和消費型態趨於多元，健康的重要性更是值得重視。大地工作坊也遵循著這股健康概念風潮，利用客家染製藍衫的傳統天然草本素材– 大菁，製成各類生活用品，不同於一般化學染料，不會產生有害自然環境和人體健康的廢水。而天然染料的運用，正是大地工作坊在實踐環保理念下不變的堅持。

Abundant sunshine, magnificent mountainscapes and good water quality are the three factors of health-improving living conditions. And yet evolving civilization and diversifying consumption patterns have changed the way people define health. The Mother Earth Workshop produces a variety of everyday necessities from Hill Indigo, a herbal product used as a dye for the traditional Hakka-style Blue Blouses. Unlike chemical dyes, Hill Indigo does not contaminate water and therefore is not harmful to the environment or the human body. The use of natural dyes is an eco-friendly policy of the Mother Earth Workshop that will never change.
