新社白毛台緊鄰大甲溪河畔海拔700 公尺的山坡河階台地，日夜溫差大，正適合葡萄生長的最佳環境，所種出來的葡萄不但甜度濃、果色深，香氣濃郁。在地培育的「巨峰」品種，果型碩大，品質優良，是全台唯一外銷日本與東南亞國家的葡萄，並為新社「花果之鄉」再添佳話。

The river terrace on the hillside of Xinshe’s Baimaotai Mountain that is near the Dayia River and measures 700 meters above sea level is ideal for grape cultivation. Grapes grown there are extra sweet, dark in flesh color with a rich aroma. The locally cultivated Kyoho grapes (literally "giant mountain grapes"), gigantic in size and excellent in quality, are Taiwan’s only grapes exported to Japan and Southeast Asia, adding another honor to Xinshe as the “Township of Flowers and Fruits”
